Warning signs of people you should not date
The first warning sign is: If your date has an addiction, call off the dating game. It may sound harsh, but many people find it to be worthwhile to wait at least until the person is cured of their addiction, or move on. It can be drugs, gambling, porn, etc. Don’t fall into the trap of believing you can make someone stop being addicted to something. The addicted person will just tell you lie after lie, or hide it from you best as they can. The best solution is to try to get them help by directing them to a counselor, help group, or therapist.
The second warning sign is: If your date still spends time with his or her ex. The only exception is if he or she has a child with the ex which would cause them to visit their child. Other than that, head for the driveway! Sure they can argue that it's completely innocent and they are good friends now, but it's disrespectful to you. Always remember that they did have a history together.
The third warning sign is: If your date mentions marriage too early in the dating stages, you should be alarmed. The person could be one of the sweetest and kindest people in the world, but marriage is a serious topic. It takes a long time (years) to get to know someone. The simple but overlooked truth is before you marry someone, you really need to know them completely. You should wait at least a year of actively dating someone before you decide to marry them. Many people can hide dark secrets for years! And just because you get along with a person, share similar interests and careers, or have fun with that person doesn't mean you should marry him or her. Marriage is a life-long commitment and you need to be able to love the positive as well as the negative side of their personality about a person before saying "I do."
