Why women and men are both from Mars
It is not uncommon to continuously hear women and men complain about how they are so different and that's why communication between the two genders is difficult. This is the wrong way to look at it. Women and men are obviously different in physical and emotional aspects. They both definitely think differently about certain things. However, they are closer to each other than they may think. Here are some stereotypes where women and men are said to vastly differ, but really have a lot in common.
There is a stereotype that young beautiful women go after rich older men do so to use them for their money. What many people fail to realize is that many young men would do the exact same thing! There are more women chasing men for their money than the over way around simply because there are simply more richer men on earth than women. If it were to become an even split, you would see more young men chasing women for their money as well. This doesn't apply only to the rich. There are cases of younger men who are not financially stable living with much older women (who is not their mother) to support them. And this is their main intention. This is no different from an older man supporting a younger woman who mostly seeks financial help.
Another reality is both genders don't want to grow old. They just showcase it differently. Both genders will wear hair pieces or extensions if they're balding, dye their hair if it's turning gray, date a younger woman or man to feel younger, or opt for plastic surgery options such as Botox. There are many men getting Botox as well. Many people assume that men don't care about their skin, but this is not true. This is why there are lines of skincare that advertise directly to men. Men want to look young just as well as women. There is obviously less stress placed on men to look young, but this doesn’t mean they don't still want to.
Both genders don't like to be alone. Men generally aren't as needy as women, but men are conditioned to be caregivers and to want to help women. So in essence it works out to be a mutual agreement. This is much generalized, but holds true for many. Both genders want security in life. For women, it often means being married with a family and a financially secure husband. For men it's the same thing. All in all, men and women are very much similar, they just express their similarities differently, or it could depend on the situation.
